DMI Technology Corporation Completes Acquisition of Automotion, Inc.

Dover, NH — (May 1, 2009)

DMI Technology Corporation (the parent of ElectroCraft, Inc.) has acquired the operating assets of Automotion, Inc., a global manufacturer of brushless AC and DC motion control technology, specializing in embedded industrial OEM servo applications. The Automotion product line will be sold as part of the ElectroCraft family of motor and motion products, worldwide.

"Automotion primarily serves OEM machine builders, with a focus on embedded OEM servo solutions designed specifically for the customer which integrate directly into their machines" according to Jim Elsner, President of DMI Technology and ElectroCraft. "The addition of this drive technology, coupled with the ElectroCraft legacy of reliable, custom manufactured motor products creates a unique capability in the marketplace. ElectroCraft now has the ability to provide customers complete, feature-rich standard servo systems or take ownership responsibility for a completely customized motor and drive solution in those applications where standard product features, product performance or price points simply do not work," said Elsner.

Additionally, the acquisition of the Automotion digital servo technology platforms will augment the existing ElectroCraft analog based servo products and extend their product range for those customers looking for the performance, set-up and diagnostic benefits of digital drive technology. According to Elsner, "the technology and engineering capabilities of Automotion will allow ElectroCraft to provide our customers with a more comprehensive and globally competitive offering of motor and drive solutions."
